Fifteen days had passed since Andres woke up bald on a street in a superhero world. Fifteen days since Charles Xavier passed on his telepathic powers along with his cursed baldness. Fifteen days trying to survive in this universe where everyone has superpowers and he is barely discovering his own.

And what a fifteen days they had been.

Andres was standing behind the counter of the Family Mart convenience store, being the only employee on the afternoon shift. The air conditioning hummed softly. The fluorescent lights flickered occasionally. The clock read 4:37 PM.

Another day in paradise, he thought, arranging cigarette boxes behind the counter.

The first few days were hell for him. Waking up in a new world without money, without identification, without absolutely anything except the clothes he was wearing and mental powers he barely knew how to use. He had to sleep in public parks, in train stations, in any place where the police would not kick him out.

He ran errands to get some cash. He helped a lady carry her groceries. He cleaned a neighborhood garden. He handed out flyers for a ramen restaurant. They were jobs that did not require official identification or formal registration.

Eventually he gathered enough to rent a room in an old building in the industrial district. Six tatami mats. Shared bathroom. Walls so thin that he heard when his neighbor next door scratched himself.

The job at the store came later. The manager, an older guy with an infinite mustache growth Quirk, needed someone cheap to cover the afternoon shift. He did not ask many questions when Andres told him he was new in town. He showed him his temporary refugee ID that he obtained through… well, a bit of persuasion at the government office.

Nothing too invasive, he justified to himself. I only suggested that my papers were in order. Technically I did not hurt anyone.

Andres knew that Charles Xavier would probably be disappointed. But Charles Xavier did not have to survive in a new world without money or connections.

“Hayashi kun?”

Andres snapped out of his thoughts. A regular customer, an elderly woman with a Quirk that made her hair glow like fiber optics, was looking at him patiently.

“Ah, sorry, Tanaka san,” he smiled. “The usual?”

“Yes, the rice crackers and the green tea.”

He charged her, they chatted briefly about the weather, and she left with a smile.

Hayashi Ren.

That was his new name in this world. Andres sounded too strange and out of place. The first time someone asked his name and he said Andres, they looked at him as if he had said he came from Mars.

So he changed it. Hayashi Ren. Simple. Japanese. Normal.

Although being a bald fifteen year old Hayashi Ren is not exactly normal, he thought bitterly, touching his smooth head.

But then he discovered something. Something that completely changed his perspective on baldness.

It was a week ago. Andres was practicing his telepathic powers in his room, trying to read the thoughts of the neighbor next door without him noticing. He was pushing his mental abilities beyond the basics.

And suddenly, he saw through the wall. He saw the neighbor sitting on his futon watching television. He saw the details of his room. The posters on his wall. The dirty clothes on the floor.

What the hell?

He concentrated more. The vision became clearer. He could see through solid materials.

Especially clothing.

The next day he tested it on the street. A beautiful woman walked toward him in a summer dress. Andres pushed his telepathic powers in a different way.

And I managed to see under the dress. The black lace bra. The matching panties. Every. Damn. Detail.

Holy God. I have X ray vision.

Well, it was not completely X rays. He could not see bones or internal organs. But he could see under clothes. And that was enough.

Suddenly, being bald stopped mattering so much to him.

His initial thoughts when he arrived in this world were noble. Heroic, even. He was going to use his powers for good. He would save people. He would stop crimes. He would become a hero who would help Izuku and everyone else defeat All For One.

Those thoughts lasted him approximately three days.

Specifically, they lasted until he saw that beautiful girl on the street and decided to test his new X ray vision ability.

To hell with being heroic, he thought at that moment. I am going to use these powers for what really matters.

For about two hours after that discovery, he called himself Professor Sex, the evil counterpart of Professor X. Then Smut Sensei when that sounded too direct.

But those childish thoughts also passed. Reality was simpler and less dramatic for Andres.

He was not a villain and he was not a hero either. He was just a fifteen year old guy with mental powers trying to survive in a new world. A guy who occasionally used those powers to see things he should not.

Morally questionable, he admitted. But technically I do not hurt anyone. It is like… scientific research. Yes, research.

Charles Xavier would definitely be disappointed.

The door chime rang.

Andres looked up automatically, prepared to give his standard welcoming greeting.

And he froze.

Mitsuki Bakugo had just entered the store.

Tight jeans that marked every curve of her legs. Casual white blouse with a light sweater over it. Perfectly arranged blonde hair. Those piercing red eyes and a bag hanging from her shoulder.

There she is, Andres thought, feeling how his heart accelerated. The main reason why I took this shitty job.

“Welcome!” he said with a smile, perhaps too enthusiastic.

“Ah, Hayashi kun,” she nodded with recognition, heading straight toward the drinks section. “Good afternoon.”

“Good afternoon, Mitsuki san.”

Mitsuki Bakugo was a frequent customer of this store. She came almost every day around 4:30 PM after finishing her work as a fashion designer. She always bought the same thing: a bottle of green tea, salmon onigiri, and occasionally some fashion magazine.

When Andres started working there a week ago, she was blunt. Polite but distant. The type of customer who says exactly what is necessary and nothing more.

But something curious happened. Andres discovered that he had a natural ability to talk to older women. To MILFs specifically.

He knew when to talk and when to listen. He knew what questions to ask and how to keep a conversation light without being invasive.

And Andres discovered something about Mitsuki Bakugo: she loved gossip.

He would say that… she liked to be informed. She liked to talk about the news. About the neighbors. About recent villain incidents. About fashion trends. About everything.

She was quite entertaining when she let loose.

“Did you hear about the incident yesterday in Shibuya?” she asked while selecting her usual green tea bottle.

“The one with the villain with the multiplication Quirk?”

“That very one,” she nodded, approaching the counter with her purchases. “Apparently he destroyed three buildings before they stopped him. My neighbor was nearby when it happened. She said it was terrifying.”

“I read that Endeavor arrived at the end,” Andres commented.

“Yes, but the damage was already done,” she placed her things on the counter. “This is exactly what I was talking about last week. Villains are becoming bolder. And heroes can barely keep up.”

Andres scanned her items while she continued.

“My husband says it is because All Might is aging. That villains can feel that his era is ending.”

Masaru Bakugo, Andres thought. The lucky bastard who married this woman.

“Do you think All Might will retire soon?” he asked, genuinely curious.

“Who knows. But eventually he will have to. Everyone grows old,” she pulled out her wallet. “What worries me is what will happen next. Who will take his place? Endeavor? Please. That man has the charisma of a rock.”

Andres laughed. He could not help it.

“What?” she smiled slightly. “Do you think I am being too harsh?”

“No, no. You are right. Endeavor is incredibly powerful but… yeah, he is not exactly charismatic.”

“Heroes need to be more than strong. They must inspire the spirit of heroism like All Might.”

While they talked, Andres decided it was the moment.

Come on, Hayashi. You have been training for this. Two weeks of practice. You can do it.

He pushed his telepathic powers in that specific way he had been perfecting. The way that allowed him to see beyond physical surfaces.

His vision shifted. The layers of clothing became translucent.

And he finally managed to see.

Under the white blouse and the sweater, Mitsuki was not wearing what he expected. No sexy lingerie or lace bra.

She was only wearing a sports top. Black. Simple and functional.

And when she moved to look for something in her bag, the folds rubbed slightly against the boxers.

Is she uncomfortable?, he wondered. Or is she simply adjusting herself?

She moved again, adjusting her posture.

The folds rubbed again.

She definitely needs a more comfortable position, Andres thought. Or maybe the boxers are new and do not fit perfectly yet.

“Hayashi kun.”

Andres blinked. His vision returned to normal instantly.

“Yes?”

“I asked you if you knew when the new fashion magazines would arrive,” she was looking at him with a raised eyebrow. “Are you okay? You looked… distracted.”

“Ah, sorry,” he scratched his bald head nervously. “I was thinking about… uh, the inventory. The new magazines should arrive tomorrow morning.”

“Good. I want to see the February edition before they sell out.”

He gave her her change. Their fingers brushed briefly when she took the coins.

“By the way,” she continued, putting away her wallet, “the entrance exams for UA are approaching.”

“Really?” Andres feigned surprise, as if he had not been counting the days. “Is someone I know going to apply?”

“My son,” her expression softened slightly. “Katsuki. He has been training like crazy for this. He is completely obsessed with getting into UA.”

“He must be very talented.”

“He is,” she nodded with absolute conviction. “His Quirk is incredibly powerful. He can create explosions with his hands. And not only that, he has natural combat instinct.”

“Sounds impressive.”

“It is. Although he is also a little arrogant bastard,” she said this with a proud motherly smile. “Too confident. But he has the talent to back it up.”

She spoke of Bakugo with that tone that mothers use when they know their son is problematic but also exceptional.

“I am sure he will get into UA without problems,” she continued. “The question is not if he will get in, but if he will be the top of his class.”

“Does he have friends who are also going to apply?”

“Some from school, I guess. But Katsuki is not exactly the type who makes friends easily. He is more the type who has… followers. Admirers who follow him because he is strong.”

Interesting. No mention of Midoriya.

It is as if Izuku Midoriya does not exist, Andres thought. Or he never met Bakugo. Or…

“And what about your neighbors?” he asked casually. “Are any of them going to apply too?”

“Neighbors?” Mitsuki frowned, thinking. “Not that I know of. The family next door has a daughter but she is very small. The ones upstairs are an older couple without children. No, I do not think there is anyone from the neighborhood.”

No mention of the Midoriyas.

What the hell is going to happen? Where is Izuku?

It was strange. Disturbing, even. The protagonist of My Hero Academia simply… was not there.

Or maybe I was born in an alternative timeline? One where Midoriya never existed?

“Hayashi kun, you are distracted again.”

“Sorry, sorry,” he smiled. “I was just thinking about how many people are going to apply this year. It must be intense competition.”

“Hundreds, probably. But only the best get in. UA does not accept mediocrity.”

“Did you go to a hero school too?”

“No,” she shook her head. “My generation was different. Hero schools were not as formalized as they are now. But my Quirk was useful for my career. I can secrete glycerin from my skin. Perfect for testing beauty and fashion products.”

“That is… really convenient.”

“Although as a young girl I thought about being a hero. But the fashion industry called to me more.”

She moved again, adjusting the weight of her bag on her shoulder.

Andres concentrated again. Just one last look.

The pink folds rubbed against the boxers when she shifted her stance.

She definitely cannot find a comfortable position, he concluded. Or she has sensitivity there and any movement affects her.

He cut off his X ray vision before she noticed anything strange in his gaze.

“Well, I must go,” she picked up her shopping bag. “Katsuki will be home soon and I need to start dinner.”

“Have a good afternoon, Mitsuki san.”

“Likewise, Hayashi kun. See you tomorrow.”

She left the store. Andres saw her walking down the street through the glass. Those tight jeans. That confident walk. That presence that filled the space.

Damn, he thought, leaning against the counter. How lucky Masaru Bakugo is. How damn lucky.

Mitsuki was beautiful. But beyond that, Andres genuinely liked her. She was direct. Honest. She said what she thought without unnecessary filters. She had strong opinions and did not mind sharing them.

She was the type of woman who in his previous life would have been completely unreachable. Too beautiful. Too self confident. Too… everything.

But here, in this new life, at least he could talk to her.

And I can see her naked with my X ray vision, he added mentally. Let us not forget that important detail.

The rest of his shift passed slowly. Some customers came in and out. A student buying energy drinks. An older woman buying cigarettes. A businessman in a hurry buying a bento for dinner.

This is my life now, Andres thought as he cleaned the counter. Working in a convenience store. Waiting for the UA exams.

It was not the epic isekai adventure he imagined when he woke up in this world.

But it was not terrible either.

He had a roof over his head.

And he had a beautiful MILF who came to his store every day and talked to him about her life.

It could be worse, he admitted. It could definitely be worse.

His phone vibrated. It was a message from the manager asking if he could cover an extra shift tomorrow. Andres replied yes.

I need all the money I can get before the UA exams, he thought. Because once I get into that school… well, if I get into that school, everything will change.

Andres’s plan was simple. Apply to UA. Use his telepathic and telekinetic powers to pass the exam. Get into Class 1 A if possible. Be near where the main story would unfold.

And then… he was not sure. Help Deku if he found him? Prevent Shigaraki from becoming too powerful? Save characters who would die in the original canon?… Or better yet, use his powers to be a complete pervert.
